Print making Courses
D'Alvaro Art, with Dolores Alvaro, offer one week fully inclusive printing holidays and printmaking workshops in her art print studio. Offering one week instruction in etching, linocut, silkscreen, monoprinting, drypoint, lithography, and collography, in courses to suit everyone. We provide full instruction and training in all aspects of printmaking including introduction to printmaking for the novice printmaker. All levels of printmaking enthusiasts are welcome to our airconditioned spacious art studio, from interested beginners to accomplished printmakers to learn, improve and use printmaking as a creative process.
For the experienced amature and professional printmaker we offer non tuition weeks with use of the studio and equipment.
The spacious studio has a Roloco etching press, Fox screenprint bed, Hunter Penrose offset litho press, printing rollers, etching and engraving tools, hot plate, darkroom with aquatint box, lightbox, exposure unit for photo etching. Platemaking and aquatint for zinc, copper and steel.
For the beginner relief printing or etching are good starting platforms, as is screenprinting in its basic form. The rewards and sense of achievement can be most satisfying in theses disciplines coupled with the magic of reproducing your images as many times as you wish in a variety of different colour combinations.
We only hold a maximum of six workshops a year and each workshop only takes a maximum of six participants, so please book early to avoid disapointment. You will have a lot of fun and enjoyment on our printmaking courses and create some fantastic artwork. Come and learn something new in a very friendly, relaxing enviroment with excellent food and hospitallity. You will work in a well equiped, spacious, purpose built studio, stay in very comfortable, peaceful surroundings.
